I love it that the vegetables you grow yourself seem so much tastier than you could ever buy. It is a wonderful incentive to get in the garden. Last weekend we picked some broccolini from Adam’s Dad’s veggie patch. It was impossibly green, almost blue and so vibrant when cooked. I made a broccoli pesto, substituting basil for broccoli. We tossed it through some spaghetti for dinner last night and it was truly delicious. Light, healthy and versatile, depending on what you had in the fridge you could add or subtract to suit.
