A find a full biscuit barrel on the kitchen bench some kind of wonderful. When the mood strikes, it is always handy to have a good go-to recipe for making biscuits. A little while ago, my aunty gave me a cookbook compiled by the Home Economics department of the school she is principal of and I’ve found it to be the most wonderful resource. Especially for biscuits and cakes and all of those Australian family-type recipes that are so familiar, yet I don’t have written down anywhere. My favourite recipe from this book is the Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie. Impossibly chewy and chocolatey, and a recipe so easy, I’ve committed it to memory. And although our biscuit barrel is full for now, I’m pretty certain it won’t be for long.
