House Crush: Quintessential Queenslander, Paddington

I’m very excited to be sharing with you the next instalment of my House Crush series.  I’ve always loved the Queenslander style of house – VJ walls, warm wooden floorboards, sweeping verandahs, and all of those little features which give this style of house a very distinct character.  Last week, I visited the house of my friend’s lovely parents who kindly allowed me to take some photos to share with you.  They recently returned to Queensland after some years interstate and have invested quite some time and energy making their home exactly how they wish everything to be.  And the result is wonderful.  Nestled in the hills of Paddington, the home is light, airy, and impeccably styled.  Simple and flowing, but with accents of colour and detail that gently pull your attention for a moment, allowing you to take in and enjoy each piece.

I hope you enjoy the tour.
