Receiving a handwritten note in the mail is one of those simple pleasures that can’t be beaten. Since our Christmas tree was full of presents (big and small) for Jack from family and friends, I thought I’d send some Christmas-themed thank you postcards to those people that we’re not able to thank in person.
I had some A4 sheets of brown kraft cardstock so cut these into 4 postcard-sized rectangles. Using a corner rounder (this one), I trimmed the corners. I then ruled lines on the back to create a postcard. Using a selection of luggage tags, twine, ribbon left from Christmas presents – I created a few simple designs for the front of the postcards. The ribbon was simple to glue in place and then trim the excess. I wrote a simple ‘Thank You’ on the luggage tags (cutting them to size as required) and glued onto the cards.
They are now sitting in a stack on the bench, ready for sending. I put the cards going overseas into an envelope to protect them on their extra long journey.
